The Animal Crackers Preschool & Day Care Center, located in Willits, CA, is a childcare facility that supervises and cares for children. The mission of the Caspar Creek Learning Community is to prepare kindergarten through fifth-grade students to be socially literate, to calculate and think logically and to read, write, and speak clearly. Wee Care Preschool provides a traditional Early Childhood program for children ages 3 months - 6 years. Our curriculum blends academics, creative play, and physical activities within a warm nurturing environment.

We strive to provide a high quality and developmentally appropriate program for Native American children ages 2 ½ through 5. Our goal is to work with families to properly prepare their children for Kindergarten and entering into the school system.

At Clear Lake Christian Co-op, we desire to to create an environment conducive for each kids' growth - socially, mentally, and physically. As our children are being taught by the people that love them the most, they will feel comfortable to explore their environment through fun activities, laughter, songs, games, and hands-on experiments and crafts. Through reinforcing Christian morals and character building, our children will feel they have a safe place to enjoy their friends and feel loved by the family connections that allow our co-op to run smoothly.

Our curriculum will utilize materials that integrate Biblical content, Christian character, and Christian leadership lessons. We are committed to bringing out God’s best in each and every student entrusted to us.

La Vida Charter School is an Independent Charter School under the oversight of Willits Unified School District. The school is a California not-for-profit 501c3 corporation. It is governed by a three member Board who meet monthly (except July) on the first Wednesday 6:00pm. Agendas for the monthly meeting are posted within 72 hours on the bulletin board near the school’s entrance and on this page.

The California Kids Investment and Development Savings Program (CalKIDS) was created by the State of California to help more children have an opportunity to save for higher education. The program, administered by the ScholarShare Investment Board, will automatically provide newborns and eligible low-income public school children in California an initial seed deposit, plus other possible financial incentives so that they can start saving money for college.

For persons with permanent disabilities, this pass entitles the bearer to a 50% discount for vehicle day use, family camping, and boat use fees at California State Park operated units.

Mendocino Starz Gymnastics has been promoting healthy children and young adults in Ukiah and Mendocino County since 2006. Teaching and instructing youths of all ages in our Gymnastics and Boys Tumbling Classes has been a valuable asset to the community and famlies. The mission of the Point Cabrillo Lightkeepers Association is to manage, protect, restore, interpret, and provide public access to the historic Point Cabrillo Light Station State Historic Park, and to assist State Parks in maintenance of the historic structures and gardens.

Founded in 1986, it is one of only a few museums in the world dedicated to the display of tattoo artifacts. Located in Fort Bragg, across from the Guest House Museum, the collection is fittingly housed in one of the town's original Victorian storefronts. Triangle Tattoo & Museum is open 7 days a week from noon until 6 P.M. All ages are welcome. Admission is free. School and personal guided tours are given upon request. Please call in advance.

This huge mural is a narrative history painted by local painter, art historian and former Mayor Lauren Sinnott. It is a depiction of the region’s past and present, with an expression of our hopes and dreams for the future. The wall is split into twenty-six vertical panels creating a chronological march of events, achievements and realities. Each panel represents an essential chapter in the story of Mendocino County through specific scenes, topped by an iconic word.

The Ford House Museum and Visitor Center is both a historical Museum Circa 1854 as well as the official visitor center for the village of Mendocino where you can find travel information, pamphlets, brochures, a gift shop, and a very knowledgeable and friendly docents to answer any questions you may have.

At the top of the curve coming north out of Little River sits a small white building on the right. The building was originally built by the Knights of the Good Templar in 1885 and has been used as the community center since that time. Now, over 100 years later, the building is a museum and a historic record of the early days of this pioneer town on the west coast.

The Mendocino County Museum is home to over 60,000 artifacts and offers permanent and rotating exhibits showcasing the county’s rich heritage. Visitors can explore unique displays of local business memorabilia, rolling stock, historic agricultural artifacts, and much more. Special permanent exhibits feature Native American Heritage, Train History, and a recreated old-fashioned creamery. If you are or were in foster care for at least one day, between the ages of 16 and 18 as a dependent or ward of the court and have financial need, you may qualify for up to $5,000 a year for career and technical training or college. You don’t have to pay this money back. You may also be able to use your grant to help pay for child care, transportation and rent while you’re in school. You can use your Chafee Grant at any eligible California college or university or career or technical school, as well as schools in other states.
